Closet Cleanse: Jan´s

Good morning everybody!

In this days here in Austria is really cold and rainy, so I think we could definately say that Winter is coming already… little bit early actually.
Somehow, here around has already snowed on the top of the mountains, that´s why we are organizing ourselves to face the new incoming season. Changing weather means also that it´s time to reorganize the closet and to make a seasonal clothing declutter. For me this is always a ritual celebration to welcome the new season: it´s a time for myself, in which I reflect about my new personal identity that I can create for the next months. We leave all summer outfits for new clothes, new colours, new textiles and new materials: it means greeting a new ME.

As I am waiting to move to the new house, I still did not do the closet declutter for me, but yesterday I was busy inside my boyfriend´s closet... I had to make space for my things sooner or later, right? You could think that it´s easy to organize a man´s closet but this is not reality: it´s true that they have just t-shirt, shirt, some pullovers and trousers, but don´t forget the enormous amount of socks they have! And when I talk about socks, I mean thousand pair of colourful socks! :) 

He likes them so much, and I find it pretty cool.... look at these pictures I took in Paris:

I wanted to organize his stuff to prepare the space for all my clothes and shoes, but I have to say, also men need their spaces! I spent the evening among shirt and ties, t-shirt and pullover, trousers and belts, scarfs and jackets..... but as usual I enjoyed a lot and, as the clothes tell a lot about a person, I got to know my boyfriend better, finding some shades of his personality among colours and styles of his closet. I can just confirm what I already love about him: he is an artist, full of new ideas and projects everyday, sometimes messy but always with attention to details in everything, active and busy like a business man, capable of enjoy life shining on me his amazing big smile. 

How many things from a closet!

So I finished my seasonal clothing declutting, storing away summer clothes, colourful and light, and I replaced them with some warm pullover and winter accessories, refreshing some outfit we created together and putting everything in order, following a specific code (office, free time, elegant). The result??An organized closet and a happy boyfriend! :)

Buongiorno a tutti!
In questi giorni qui in Austria é davvero freddo e piovoso, quindi credo di poter definitivamente dichiarare che línverno é proprio alle porte...  decisamente un pó in anticipo.
Per qualche strano motivo, qui sta giá nevicando in alta quota, quindi stiamo giá organizzandoci per andare incontro alla nuova stagione. 

Questo cambiamento stagionale significa anche che é arrivato il momento per riorganizzare l´armadio e fare un vero e proprio cambio stagionale. Per me questo é davvero un rito per salutare la nuova stagione: per me é prendere tempo per me stessa, dove posso riflettere sulla mia nuova imminente nuova identitá che posso creare nei prossimi mesi. Si lasciano tutti i vestiti estivi, per nuovi capi, nuovi colori, nuovi tessuti e materiali: é come salutare un nuovo IO.

Dato che sto aspettando di trasferirmi nella nuova casetta, non ho ancora fatto il mio cambio stagionale dell´armadio, ma ieri ero indaffarata dentro l´armadio del mio ragazzo...devo pur far spazio per le mie cose prima o poi, no? Potete pensare sia facile organizzare l´armadio di un uomo, ma questa non é la realtá: é vero che ci sono per lo piú magliette, camicie, qualche maglione e pantaloni, ma non dimenticate l´enorme quantitá di calzini!!
E quando parlo di calzini, mi riferisco a mille diverse paia di calzini colorati!

A lui piacciono cosí tanto, e io trovo sia davvero stiloso.... guardate alcune foto che ho fatto a Parigi:

Volevo organizzare le sue cose per preparare lo spazio sufficiente per tutti i miei vestiti e le mie scarpe, ma é il caso di dirlo, anche gli uomini hanno bisogno del loro spazio! Ho passato la sera tra camicie e cravatte, magliette e maglioni, pantaloni e cinture, sciarpe e giacche.... ma come al solito mi sono divertita un sacco e in piú, dato che i vestiti dicono molto sulla persona, ho potuto conoscere meglio il mio fidanzato, trovando alcune sfumature del suo carattere tra i colori e gli stili del suo armadio. Posso semplicemente confermare quello che giá amo di lui: é un´artista, pieno di nuove idee e progetti ogni giorno, a volte confusionario ma sempre attento al dettaglio in tutti i sensi, attivo e indaffarato come un uomo d´affari, capace di godere la vita facendo brillare su di me il suo gigante ed  incredibile sorriso. Quante cose da un guardaroba!

Ho finito cosi il suo cambio armadio, mettendo via i vestiti estivi, colorati e leggeri, e li ho sostituiti con dei maglioni caldi e alcuni accessori invernali, rinfrescando alcuni abbinamenti che abbiamo creato assieme e mettendo tutto in ordine, seguendo un codice specifico (ufficio, tempo libero, elegante). Il risultato? Un guardaroba ordinato e un fidanzato contento! :)
